Must the ventilation/calibration done outdoors?

It is not a must put the device outdoors, you can just put it in a ventilated place such as indoors near the windows or near the air purifier, and keep it turned off.

As the device has been stored in a sealed package for months, the ventilation mainly purposes at removing the stale air inside the device which may affect the accuracy of the sensors.

The Temtop M10i is way off. I can’t figure out how to get it to calibrate. I used the pin, but it is obscenely incorrect. Outdoors the online sources say the AQI is less than 30, yet the unit says it’s 60. Similar spread for the PM2.5. So how can I trust it when I bring it inside? Why is this unit so bad?
